It was not just about the site-management experience. Launch experience was equally as important for the desired outcome. The successful candidate had over twenty years’ experience in structured food service environments, opened more than forty restaurant locations, managed approximately one hundred staff in multi-manager teams, and held area-level accountability within international food brands. The candidate had more than 6 years of HR experience in the Netherlands, including hands-on experience with Belgian employment requirements, which was gained through cross-border collaboration with Belgian colleagues. At her previous organization she had overseen the Netherlands rollout of a global shared-service migration, including re-engineering local processes, ensuring stakeholder alignment and training managers on new procedures. The executive spent his career in information security with regulated European financial institutions, building governance frameworks and security programs aligned to DORA, PCI-DSS, NIS2, GDPR, and PSD2. He had established and operated outsourced SOC operations according to MITRE ATT&CK, led incident response at institutional scale and interfaced directly with French financial regulators such as ANSSI, CNIL, ACPR, and AMF. His career has included positions in European, UK and international operations and he has the cross-regional coordination and board-level communication experience the role required. His professional motivation was directly related to the mission: building and strengthening security foundations across a complex, multi-region platform.
The new executive had built his career in transportation and logistics with experience in asset-based trucking, owner-operator models, and agent-based freight brokerage. He had more than ten years of experience leading cross-functional teams in finance, operations, IT, and HR; had direct P&L responsibility; and built new lines of business from scratch, including a domestic brokerage operation that he launched and scaled from inception. His working knowledge of the owner-operator model gave him the operational context to understand the business from the inside, not just the financial structure.
The hired executive has almost nine years of EOS Integrator experience, including one stretch where he grew the company from $8 million to more than $40 million in eight years. He had led and integrated two acquisitions, built service lines to the point where they accounted for almost half of overall company profit, and created a global sales and distribution footprint that supported a successful company exit. Before that, he built a premium distribution business and forged national partnerships through a period of significant market volatility. He was locally based, held a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and his operational assessments showed a strong fit for the demands of the Visionary-Integrator dynamic.
